Death's Life

--Angel of Death--

Azriel is the head of the department of angels that deals with the unfortunate souls that have died. Since eternity he has been dealing with leading humans to the afterlife. But that isn't all that's to his job. He must also deal with the task of punishing angels that have broken rules. Being in such a powerful position, he is accustomed to the other angels either kissing up to him or avoiding him completely.

Usually Azriel's job wasn't anything remarkably hard- or remarkable at all for that matter. In general, the process of dealing with a human soul takes no longer than a minute, and he had plenty of subordinates for that. It was the punishing of angels that was harder, especially since the way of dealing with rebel angels could be much more... gruesome than that of mortals. Still, very seldom did Azriel have to work hard.

Until him. A stupid, average angel soldier went and revealed the secrets to a mortal girl. Such was the greatest taboo, punishable by death- and nothing was more unpleasant than the death of an angel. But he finally began enjoying his job again.

After months of pursuing him, Azriel finally caught his prey. The rebel angel's wings were broken, his powers gone, and his breathing weak. The human girl tried to protect her love, but Azriel simply killed her. She knew too much. The rebel killed himself in agony before Azriel could catch him, and so he was robbed of the fun he had been eagerly awaiting for months.

And now it's back to normal. Boring, monotonous normal.

Personality: Frighteningly obedient, holding almost nothing above rules. He accepts what can't be changed and is seldom put off, if ever. Like most angels he lacks human feelings.
Appearance: Ashen hair with blood red tips and deathly white eyes. His skin tone could be considered pale. Roughly 6'7. As is customary for death angels, his wings are a pitch black rather than soft white.
