Pandemic says *he gave a light huff in reply, flicking his gaze off to the side as a small frown crossed his face* I'm sure there are more interesting things to discover. *he said simply, only returning his gaze to her with a withdrawn, hurt but certainly not beaten look. The sort of look that said it's owner was tortured but not about to ask for help. Most would leap at the chance to drill Vida with questions, but as far as he saw it, if she wanted to tell him something she would and if she wanted something else from him she would ask. There was no reason to aimlessly talk about it* It's a big world, after all. (( Naw, Demi is such a little emobucket. xD ))

Pandemic says -he gave a somewhat bitter laugh at that, his one visible eye narrowing a little- I can see why most people would. But I, on the other hand, truly believe I've lived long enough to not be scared of dying. -he gave a shrug and tilted his head a little- what do you want, then? Surely you already know my name so introductions would be pointless.

Pandemic says *before he realized what he was doing Demi actually shook his head no, though he kept his hands casually in his pockets. While he wasn't stupid enough to believe life could die...well* Old habits die hard. Sorry, but I do believe I'll keep my distance. *he said calmly, but shortly, on the matter. Things he touched died and it had been that way for an increasingly long time--even the grass where he stood would wither and turn brown if he stayed in one place for too long, even with his shoes on. The only person he had touched and hadn't killed was...well, she didn't count. Endemic didn't count...*

Pandemic says *he moved backwards out of habit, taking a few steps in the same direction that she did to keep that given distance between them. It seemed like he was measuring it perfectly, and knew it by heart exactly how close someone would have to be for him to unwillingly hurt them. And he avoided that at all costs, even if he thought that she wouldn't exactly be harmed if she really was who she said she was* As far as I know, I have all the time in the world. I've been alive for far too long, as you probably know. *his words weren't bitter, strangely, but they were blunt in their tortured air. Very matter-of-fact*

Pandemic says *he kept the flat stare he was giving her steadily and broke no smile; instead he simply quirked an eyebrow and replied in that strange, whisper-voice of his that still somehow demanded power* I am more closely affiliated to Death than to you Life, you realize.
