Hello my name is Takao, I am 8 years old and I am the only son of Kyo and Lyla. Father and Mother never thought they would have children. Their curse is great. Mother says I am a gift straight from the heavens. Father disagrees...at least when I don't behave. Father is strong and fierce! When I grow up I want to be just like him! He may seem rough on me, but its only so I will grow strong and become leader one day.

I know it sounds silly...a cursed one becoming leader. But Mother says if I stay true to myself that any obstacle can be conquered! I'm not quite sure what that means yet...but if I listen to Mothers teachings and follow in Fathers stride I know one day I will be the first Cursed one to reign over the village. Just you wait and see! I will prove them all wrong about us!

Father is teaching me the ways. How to fight and be brave and not to cry when I get hurt. Like he always says, "Tears solve nothing." Only Courage, Strength and Honor solve problems.

Mother says that patience and understanding is needed as well, so I'm working on that. Even though its so hard to be patient! I hate waiting for things...especially when mother makes her special cookies for me! She makes me sit and wait...and wait and wait! I'm not allowed to even take a lick until then are done! But they are well worth it in the end!
