Personality: Livia is quite unlike what most have thought about her. With her being a bit of a recluse and constantly communicating with the dead, most see her being nothing but trouble. In truth, she couldn't be farther from trouble. Livia is quite a sweet person, albeit can be a bit shy when talking to the living. So many have started looking to her as being an evil witch that she has a harder time with them, whereas the dead see her as being her for what she is. She has no problems with the living and tries to convince them to think of her differently, but they are stubborn creatures, so she keeps to herself.
She started with magic at a very young age, and was quite gifted. She learned all sorts of magic, but as she started to get a bit older, she started to reject some of it. She couldn't stand the thought of physically hurting others like some of her peers and mentors seemed capable of. She saw many tortured and killed, and made a vow to not do such herself. She found no peace in hurting others, and had little tolerance for wars.
Her definite intolerance for harming others and wars happened one night when she saw a young boy wounded horribly outside her village. He came from a place not far from there where war had struck, and tried to get away, but didn't make it too far without getting hurt. She took him under her care immediately and did everything she was capable of to try and help the poor boy. It ended up all being in vain though, and the boy passed away that night. Distraught by that, she was unable to sleep for many days, unable to get the images out of her head. It wasn't until she heard his voice again, telling her it was okay that she finally passed out.
In her dreams, he continued to speak to her, and they talked. They talked about everything. Even when she woke up, she could still hear him talking. It was then she learned she also had an affinity to talking to spirits, and started reaching out to communicate with them. With that discovery though, she was banished from her home. The village was afraid that her ability would only bring misfortune, and although they did love her, they couldn't take that risk. She traveled far to find another place she could call home, but it all ended the same. In the end, she decided on living alone, figuring it was the best way to talk to the spirits in peace and not worry about anything else. She got to practice her magic a lot as well and learned many new things from spirits--most of which she won't share to anyone else since she was entrusted with them in the first place. She was gifted with longevity and learned how to help bring spirits back to life through small things, usually dolls, and help give them an actual body. It is a lot of work and she has to be careful with who she allows a second chance at life, but otherwise, she wouldn't trade it for the world~
