A rogue angel attempting to fend off a corruption implanted within him nearly a hundred years ago, Hector is anything but your average Guardian Angel. Having often been feared and averted, most looked to Hector as being the champion of the seven heavens. However his fall was inevitable - to his great displeasure. During the hectic battle of the Twin Pikes, Hector laid himself in the path of destruction to save his soldiers, but paid the price for all eternity.
The corruption that slowly began to take over Hector started as nothing more than simple pain, but grew into a powerful force that was beginning to seize his will and destroy his sanity. Despite the disease being non-contagious, there was no hope for the warrior, and nobody knew what would become of him from this strange affliction that had never before been seen. Though the sorrow he housed within his soul ate as his heart, and despite the disease shaking his very foundation, he set out in an attempt to find some place for peace during his last days.
But his days were far from being over...
This affliction that he carried was not just any ailment, but rather an attempt to corrupt the angel and turn him to the dark side. And surely, the affliction did. Even though the angel had battled the disease for over two hundred years, he finally succumbed to the darkness, turning into a mighty, cannibalistic fiend that hungered for flesh of any kind.
Though...that was nearly eight hundred years ago. Hector now lives his days in the city, fending off his own dark soul in some hope to live a normal life. Heaven is revolted by his presence, and the underworld fears his capabilities. Despite his problems, and his uncontainable hunger for flesh and blood on most occasions, Hector has managed to fit in quite well. But who knows for how long...
