Coyotl is a "Mimic". A person without actual emotion - yet who can fake emotion, can 'mimic' the ones needed to get by and be seen as an ordinary human being. Love, anger, sympathy, understanding, happiness. It's all there, tucked in his pocket like a deck of playing cards. He wields them expertly, watching the people around him for cues about what to say or how to react - and then plays the game.
However, there are a few who have seen past his facade. Young children are not fool. Neither are elderly people. War vets especially get on well with him, because they, like him, know only anger.
That is the only true emotion Coyotl is able to understand. Anger. Rage. When he hates, he holds a grudge like no other. When he fights, he doesn't fight to simply put the other person down, but to kill. He has no morals, no empathy towards people who slight him. Respect and kindness is repeated towards those who give it, and children are honored as being sacred. Everyone else however, is fair game.
This is why Coyotl lives alone, out in the jungle. This is why people call him mad, crazy, lunatic, sociopath, psychopath and more. It is why he has a gallows sense of humor and a sharp wit that few will understand.
