Today was one of those days where the rain would not stop pelting down on the thick, crested waves. Although I adored the weather rough and frightening, I had to stay out of the water until the storm passed. Even a creature as strong and hardy as I could not face the terrifying currents that could easily pull a me into the depths of the dark, desolate ocean.
As I pulled myself up onto the craggy, uneven rocks, I noticed a red, flaring light in the distance. I knew that signal all too well. I looked around desperately for a seaman - anyone - who could respond to the blazing light. The shadows surrounding me were confusing and disorientating - I couldn't make out what was real, or not.
